Celebrate Pollinator Week in Kane County

Celebrate National Pollinator Week by joining the Forest Preserve District of Kane County at the Dick Young Forest Preserve in Batavia.

The celebration will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21. All are welcome. Come out to the prairie to find native pollinators and learn about the foods they prefer.

Butterflies, bees and beetles are just a few of the kinds of pollinators you will be sure to find. They will use sweep nets and bug boxes to get up close and personal with these important creatures.

Advance registration is required. The registration fee is $2 per person. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.

Dick Young Forest Preserve is at 39W115 Main St., Batavia. Use the Main Street entrance.
