Dragon races, humidity heat up St. Charles Riverfest

The 34th annual Riverfest in St. Charles continued Saturday, with dragon boat races capturing the early spotlight before suburban festivalgoers settled into a sunny but humid afternoon of games, food and music.

The four-day festival wraps up Sunday, which will feature more dragon boat races from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with the Craft and Artisan Market from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the carnival from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Wonder Lake Water Ski Team will perform at 1 p.m. near Pottawatomie Park, as will the Illinois Army National Guard Dixieland Band from noon to 3 p.m. in the municipal center lot. The Festival of the Horse and Drum presentation starts at 4 p.m. at First Street Plaza.

Sunday's Main Stage lineup includes The Garage from noon to 3 p.m., And Beyond from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Six String Crossing from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Focal Point wraps up the evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
