LifeSource to host Chicago Blackhawks blood drive

LifeSource will celebrate the Chicago Blackhawks' 2015 season - and its loyal fans - by hosting a blood drive from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at LifeSource/ItxM Corporate headquarters, 5505 Pearl St., Rosemont.

Blackhawks fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite team attire. Chicago Blackhawks' mascot Tommy Hawk will meet fans from 10-11 a.m.

Participating donors will be entered into a random drawing for an autographed Denis Savard poster and a replica Blackhawks jersey autographed by Niklas Hjalmarsson. A Chicago Blackhawks autographed cap will be raffled every hour.

Participating donors who schedule and keep their appointment will be automatically entered into a random drawing to win a weekend package to the eighth annual Blackhawks Convention July 17-19. Package includes two passes to the entire convention, plus a two-night hotel stay.

Appointments for LifeSource blood drives are preferred, but all walk-ins are welcome. Donors can schedule appointments by calling LifeSource at (877) 543-3768 or visiting www.lifesource.org and using the sponsor code 271B. Donors with appointments will be served in precedence to walk-ins.

Along with hosting daily blood drives, LifeSource operates 19 community donor centers and four fixed sites with regular operating days and hours. In preparation for their donation, donors are asked to eat well, stay hydrated and arrive with proper identification.
