New Libertyville restaurant

More than a year after renovation began, an old building in downtown Libertyville is scheduled to open Tuesday as the latest entree in a thriving restaurant scene. Husband/wife team Humberto Martinez Jr. and Libertyville native Sara McKinnon are set to open the former Mickey Finn's at 412 N. Milwaukee Ave. as O'Toole's of Libertyville. This will be the third restaurant for O'Toole's Pub Group, joining Timothy O'Toole's bars that opened in 1992 in Chicago and in 2009 in Gurnee. The century old-building in downtown Libertyville has been operated as a tavern since 1936. Green Drinks Libertyville, gatherings for those interested in the environment and sustainability, also will debut at the pub Tuesday with a presentation Lake County Forest Preserve District.
