A lot of people made Spring 5K a success

On behalf of the Hanover Township officials and all the staff and volunteers, I would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support for the second annual Sprint to Spring 5K Run/Walk earlier this month.

Over 150 individuals came out to participate in the event, hosted at the Hanover Township Izaak Walton Center and Reserve in Elgin. The race promotes health and wellness within the community, but also raises funds for the Hanover Township Foundation. All proceeds from the race go to the foundation to assist residents experiencing financial hardship in accessing needed medical and dental services.

With the help of the race participants and event sponsors, over $2,500 was raised to benefit the foundation.
