Rollin' on the River concerts return to Naperville

Naperville Park District's Rollin' on the River concert series returns to the downtown Riverwalk on Friday evenings beginning June 12 and continuing through Aug. 7.

The concerts will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Riverwalk Free Speech Pavilion near the Dandelion Fountain at Jackson Avenue and Webster Street.

"We are pleased to be able to feature local artists and a variety of musical styles," said Fred Gusel, program manager. "The series will kick off on Friday evening, June 12, with acoustic guitarist and singer Andrew Huber. The second and third place winners of the Naperville Battle of the Bands contest, Something To Live By and Where It Starts, will take the stage on July 17."

The summer concert schedule is as follows:

• June 12: Andrew Huber (acoustic guitar);

• June 19: Sinister Finch (rock);

• June 26: Ted Slowik (crafted Americana);

• July 10: Dave Byron (guitar);

• July 17: Battle of the Bands second and third place winners (rock);

• July 24: School of Rock (rock);

• July 31: Elizabeth Carol K (acoustic/folk/indie);

• Aug. 7: Gecko Club (rock).
