Watch herons at Almond Marsh
Check out the herons at Almond Marsh near Grayslake and enjoy some snacks in a special program put on by the Lake County Forest Preserve District and Lake County Audubon. The free event, called "Cheese and Crackers With the Birds," is set for 6:30 p.m. June 10, at the marsh, 32550 N. Almond Road. The event is open to bird lovers of all ages but children require adult supervision. Registration isn't needed. For more, visit lcfpd.org.
