Sycamore 6, Hampshire 0: At the Class 3A Hampshire regional, Wisconsin-Oshkosh recruit Colan Treml threw a 1-hitter to lead No. 3 Sycamore to a semifinal victory over No. 2 Hampshire. Treml issued 1 walk and struck out 7. Losing pitcher Trey Schramm (Xavier) was touched for 5 earned runs on 5 hits. He walked 4 and struck out 4 in 5 innings. Matt Kielbasa managed the only hit for Hampshire (17-17). Sycamore (26-11) advances to face No. 4 Kaneland (19-12) for the regional title on Saturday at noon.

McHenry 5, Crystal Lake South 1: At the Class 4A Prairie Ridge regional, No. 3 McHenry took a 2-0 lead on Dylan Weston's 2-run home run in the third inning and went on to defeat No. 2 CL South in a semifinal matchup between Fox Valley Conference Valley Division teams in Crystal Lake. Losing pitcher Ryan Wilkening (6-4) allowed 5 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits and struck out 4 without issuing a walk. Nick Van Witzenburg, Cam Geisser and Nick Wolski had the only hits for CL South (24-9). McHenry (22-13) will play No. 1 Prairie Ridge (30-5) for the regional title on Saturday at 1 p.m.
