Some perspective for fast-food workers

Just a note to all the protesters at McDonald's headquarters who want $15 an hour for flipping burgers, why not join the military? You will get all sorts of free stuff!

That's right, free stuff. Free food, free housing, free clothing, free travel, free medical and free education. You will also get paid, not $15 an hour, but you'll get paid.

But at some point, the bill for all the free stuff will come due and you will have to pay it. You'll go to a place where some of the people hate you and will want to kill you because you're an American.

But go ahead, carry a sign that states you want $15 an hour for flipping burgers. Don't worry, a soldier, sailor, airman or Marine will pay your bill for you.
