Naperville Park District Seeking Input on Future Riverwalk Eatery Improvements

Naperville Park District is seeking public input on potential improvements to the Riverwalk Eatery. An online survey is available through August 2015 at the following link:

Earlier this year, the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners tabled plans for capital improvements to the Eatery in 2015. However, for the 2015 season, the Park District was able to make small adjustments to the Eatery's menu to include breakfast items, coffee and tea, which will be available during new, earlier morning hours.

Beginning May 23, hours of operation for the Eatery will be from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. daily through August 16. Weekend hours will resume August 22 and continue through October, weather permitting.

Coffee and tea will be provided by Aspire Coffeeworks in partnership with Metropolis Coffee Company. The coffee is hand roasted in the Chicago area from fair trade, organic sources. Aspire Coffeeworks is a nonprofit organization that funds programs and provides job opportunities for people with disabilities.

"The new coffee, tea and breakfast menu will be available for those out for a morning walk," said Program Manager Fred Gusel. "The Park District is looking for feedback not only about this initiative, but also about other ways in which the Eatery can better serve those who enjoy the Riverwalk."
