Stay healthy and keep working

Mr. Foys' excellent letter on May 15 certainly spoke truth to power.

All these public employees do not pay taxes. All they are doing is recycle our hard earned money that has been expropriated by government for their benefit. They do not do a day's work for a day's wage. This is true of all governmental workers: state, county, city, township, park district, down to all 7,000 units of government. Teachers, cops, firefighters, politicians; money for nothing.

And the more I think about it, all those highway construction jobs, funded by state, hospitals and nurses and doctors, Medicare and Medicaid money. Airport workers, airports built and maintained on our dime they are leaches too. Of course, that means pilots, ground crews, all the airlines - leaches. Truckers, cabbies on our tax supported roads; then the corporations, Sears, TIF money, Arlington Race Track. Then Boeing, Spike Lee, state money, our money again, to pay them to stay or work here.

Thank you, Mr. Foys, for pointing this out. You have terrible burden on April 15th supporting all these freeloaders. All I can say is stay healthy and keep working.
