A man with a gun approached two women in their vehicles, acting strangely, about 11 p.m. Sunday, Arlington Heights police said. The women were in a hotel parking lot on the 400 block of west Algonquin Road.

The man told the first woman he was a hotel security agent. He had a handgun tucked in his waistband. He asked the second woman about buying cars, holding a handgun in his hand at the time, pointing it toward her as he walked into the hotel, police reports said.

He was described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-10, 160-170 pounds, medium build, short spiked black hair, wearing a gray shirt with designs on it and jeans.
