Take a step back in time at Naper Settlement's Civil War Days

The afternoon battles are the visual highlight of Civil War Days this weekend at Naper Settlement, but visitors also are getting many other chances to learn more about what divided our nation 150 years ago.

The battle between the blue and gray is scheduled to take center stage again at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the settlement grounds at 523 S. Webster St. in downtown Naperville.

But those interested in history also can meet with Abraham Lincoln, as portrayed by Max Daniels, and get a peek at what life was like in a Civil War encampment. There also is period food, activities and shopping for Civil War-era reproduction products during the daylong event that runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
