Michael Bengston homered for the second time this week, and Matt Mason went 3-for-5 with a double and 3 RBI, as Grant's baseball team defeated hosted Johnsburg 18-6 in nonconference action Friday.

Grant (23-7) also got a double and 2 RBI from Blain Kugel. Chad Baron (1-1) pitched 4 1/3 innings for the win.

Antioch 6, Lake Forest Academy 3: Travis Slywka was 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored and an RBI for the Sequoits in the nonconference game.

Austin Marsiglio had a single and 2 RBI. Connor Kaiser pitched 6 innings for the win, allowing 1 run and 5 hits.

Deerfield 15, Wauconda 6: Kyle Harmon homered and knocked in a pair of runs for the visiting Bulldogs in their nonconference loss.

Jacob Bicknase was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Wauconda (11-14). Kevin Malisheski had a double and an RBI.
