Wheeling to celebrate Memorial Day with parade, picnic
Wheeling's Memorial Day parade will step off at Milwaukee Avenue 11 a.m. Monday, May 25.
The Wheeling High School marching band will be one of the star participants in the parade sponsored by the Wheeling Historical Society.
The route will proceed west to Wolf Road and then north to Chamber Park. There, Village President Dean Argiris will give a speech and AMVETS Post No. 66 will lead a Memorial Day tribute ceremony.
A picnic will follow at the park, with the historical society providing ice cream desserts.
