Naperville North making DVC race interesting
Naperville North 9, Glenbard North 2:
With their second straight win over the Panthers (16-9, 10-5), Naperville North (12-13, 9-6) pulled within a game of first place in the DuPage Valley Conference. A 5-run bottom of the third was more than enough support for complete-game winning pitcher Matt Pillatsch. Mark Khoury and Nate Given each had 2 hits and combined for 5 RBI. Zach Heck went 2-for-3 for the Panthers.
Wheaton North 11, Lake Park 4:
Doug Michalak and Erik Mueller both homered and combined for 6 hits and 8 RBI for the Falcons (8-17, 4-11) in their DuPage Valley Conference win. Winning pitcher Casey Becker went the distance. Michael Nielsen doubled twice and A.J. Ackerly had 2 RBI for Lake Park (10-13, 5-10).
