Concert series coming to Naperville parks

Naperville Park District's summer concert series, Concerts in Your Park, will begin Sunday, June 14, at Arrowhead Park, featuring OMT, a local rock band that plays a variety of songs from classic to current.

Now in its 13th season, Concerts in Your Park brings free, family-friendly entertainment to neighborhood parks throughout the community. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and end by 8:30 p.m. Sundays. The audience is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The locations of the concerts were selected earlier this year by participants in an online contest called "Your Concert, Your Park, Your Choice." Interested residents cast more than 1,400 votes for preferred locations and styles of music.

The schedule features: OMT June 14 at Arrowhead Park; The Student Body June 28 at Queensbury Greens; Wild Daisy July 12 at Westglen Commons; Midwest Dueling July 19 at White Eagle Park; DuPage Band July 26 at Knoch Knolls Park; and The Hat Guys Aug. 2 at Buttonwood Park.

The series is sponsored by Continental Motors of Naperville and Reebie Storage and Moving Company.
