Missing Stevenson graduate found dead in Wisconsin

A 27-year-old Long Grove native missing from Milwaukee for more than a year was confirmed dead Thursday, officials say.

Kelly Dwyer, a graduate of Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, had been living in Milwaukee when she vanished in October 2013.

Last week, a person walking in rural Jefferson County about 40 miles from Milwaukee, discovered the body. A forensic dentist confirmed the remains as Dwyer's on Thursday, with coroner's officials saying it's not clear how she died.

Dwyer was last seen on surveillance camera entering the apartment building of her boyfriend, Kris Zocco. She was never seen leaving the building. Zocco is currently in prison on drug and child porn convictions.

A Facebook page dedicated to finding Kelly thanked its more than 6,000 supporters for their help while she was missing and confirmed her passing in a post Thursday afternoon.
