Mundelein: In a special event that was in the memory of Mundelein's Ian Turkula and raised nearly $1,800 for Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Vernon Hills out-lasted Mundelein 25-14, 16-25, 25-14. Lemuel Turner had 12 kills, 7 blocks and 5 digs for Vernon Hills. Alon Polischuk added 12 digs. For Mundelein, Abram Nazario had 12 digs and was perfect on his 8 serves while setter Anthony Fiore had 6 assists.
Stevenson d. Fremd: Grant Maleski rolled up 20 kills to lead Stevenson to a 21-25, 27-25, 25-21 win over Fremd. Setter Jeffrey Wang had 31 assists and Luke Feder led Stevenson (15-10) with 9 digs.
