NCH offers free programs for seniors in May

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 30, 2015) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in May at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. To register for the following programs at the Senior Center, call 847-253-5532. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Thursday, May 7 - What's in your pillbox? - 11 a.m. to noon

• Friday, May 8 - Diabetes: When to check in with your doctor - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Wednesday, May 13 - Healthy cooking demo: Quiche - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Wednesday, May 13 - Diabetes education seminar - 5 to 6:30 p.m.

• Thursday, May 14 - Benefits of water exercise - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Thursday, May 14 - Anxiety support group - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Friday, May 15 - A common sense approach to a healthy lifestyle - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Monday, May 18 - Making everyday tasks easier - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Tuesday, May 19 - Cancer: The importance of family health history - 11a.m. to noon

• Tuesday, May 19 - Diabetes support group - 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Thursday, May 21 - Managing stress - noon to 1 p.m.

• Wednesday, May 27 - National Senior Health and Fitness Day - 8:30 a.m. to noon

• Thursday, May 28 - Senior bullying - 10 to 11:30 a.m.
