Girls soccer: Lake County roundup
Sophomore Morgan Lyon had a goal and 3 assists, and Grayslake North's girls soccer team stayed undefeated with a 6-0 win over visiting Woodstock in Fox Valley Conference action Tuesday night.
Jocelyn Rodriguez, Kelley O'Brien, Sammie Villwock, Lauren Davis and Sydney Paez also scored for Grayslake North (15-0-2).
Rodriguez tallied eight minutes into the game, and the Knights took that 1-0 lead into halftime.
Megan Davis made 2 saves in recording the shutout.
Round Lake 5, North Chicago 0: Marianna Kick scored twice for the Panthers in their North Suburban Prairie victory.
Alondra Landa, Yurizet Villa and Evelyn Torres also scored. Jasmine Cruz had 2 assists for the Panthers.
Lake Zurich 2, Warren 0: Elly Daleske made 7 saves in goal, and the host Bears scored twice in the second half of the North Suburban Lake match.
Madeline Blasko and Danielle Ufheil scored for Lake Zurich (13-3-1). Emily Udelhoven had an assist.
Liz Carrano made 6 saves for Warren (4-6-2, 2-1-2).
Stevenson 8, Zion-Benton 0: Brianna VanZanten had 3 goals and an assist for the Patriots, who built a 7-0 lead by halftime of the North Suburban Lake contest.
Emma Jaeger added 2 goals and 2 assists for Stevenson, which also got goals from Taylor Spulam Kya Suzuki and Rachel Aranyi (2 assists). Caroline Dempsey contributed 3 assists, and keeper Hannah Petrich had 4 saves in recording the shutout.
Lakes 2, Grant 0: Nicole Nitti and Bella Pighini scored for the host Eagles in the North Suburban Prairie game. Jenna Binkley and Nicole D'Ambrose had assists.
