Bike Arlington community ride May 9

Arlington Heights will host the first of three 2015 community bicycle rides on Saturday, May 9.

Last year more than 200 cyclists participated in a Bike Arlington community ride, and organizers expect even more this year.

The ride starts at 9:30 a.m. at Frontier Park and covers 15 miles of Arlington Heights bike routes.

Register online or by delivering your registration form to the Village of Arlington Heights Engineering Department. The first 50 registrants to sign up before May 1 will get a free Bike Arlington Heights T-shirt.

Organizers ask that all minors be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and that any children joining either be on a tandem or in a trailer if they have not been on rides of this distance before. View the route and find documents to sign up at www.vah.com.
