Chris Schulstad had 4 goals and Ryan Lawson 3 to help host Buffalo Grove wrap up its Mid-Suburban East boys water polo slate with an 11-4 victory against Rolling Meadows on Monday.
The Bison (7-16, 3-7) held Meadows (1-15, 0-10) to a single goal in the first half.
Fremd 15, Schaumburg 14 (OT): Dylan Assmann and Zach Starkey each finished with 3 goals, and Dan Anderson, Robert DePau and Nathaniel Jordan had 2 apiece as the Vikings (11-7, 6-4) outlasted the Saxons in an MSL West finale in which third place in the division was at stake.
Jack Pyde paced Schaumburg (14-11, 4-6) with a team-best 6 goals and 6 steals; Christian Zielinski had 3 goals and James Birriel and Tyler Gustafson both scored twice.
Edin Latic stopped 12 shots for the Saxons, and the Vikings' Zachary Keper made 5 saves.
Hoffman Estates 12, Conant 1: The Hawks (6-21, 1-9) picked up an MSL West victory in their last chance at one this season.
Barrington 16, Palatine 10: Barrington senior Chase Lesniak had a team-best 4 goals in his final regular-season MSL game as the visiting Broncos (22-0, 10-0) completed a perfect run through the MSL West and maintained their unbeaten overall record.
Seniors Ryan Schlaiss, Jacob Baran and Colin White had 2 goals apiece on senior night for the Pirates (5-17, 2-8). Marcus Carter-Buckman (2), Ivan Turkan (1) and T.J. May (1) also scored while Palatine keeper Jake Conrad stopped 14 shots.
