Robotics team hosts open house

Warren Township High School's Trident Robotics Team hosts an open house from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16, at the O'Plaine Campus, 500 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee.

The event will be in the cafeteria, with breakout sessions in room 109 and in the lecture hall. All ages are welcome to attend. The day will consist of demonstrations of robots, question/answers sessions, lab tours, information booths about outreach programs.

The team, made up of 50 high school students, is hosting this event to promote STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math) and hopes to expand FIRST within the community. FIRST is an internationally known organization that shows students of every age that science, technology and problem solving are fun and rewarding.
