Bulls lose to Bucks at buzzer
MILWAUKEE - After 48 minutes of ugly basketball, the Bulls and Bucks put together an exciting ending on Saturday.
The Bulls erased a 6-point deficit in the final 1:05 and had a chance to win, but Derrick Rose committed the Bulls' 28th turnover of the night when he lost the ball trying to dribble through traffic.
Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd called a quick timeout with 1.3 seconds on the clock, then designed a series-saving play. The Bucks isolated guard Jerryd Bayless on Rose under the basket. Bayless started toward the sideline, then reversed course, caught a perfect pass from teammate Jared Dudley and hit the game-winning layup before Rose could recover.
So Milwaukee stayed alive with a 92-90 victory at the Bradley Center. The Bulls still lead the first-round series 3-1 and have another chance to close it out Monday in Game 5 at the United Center.
Besides all the turnovers, the story of the game for the Bulls was Jimmy Butler, who poured in 33 points. The Bulls trailed 90-84 with just over a minute left, but Rose hit a 3-pointer, then found Gasol for a bank shot and 3-point play that tied the score with 38.4 seconds remaining.
Bulls rookie Nikola Mirotic returned from one game off with a left knee injury and played significant minutes.
