Derek Hough hurt at 'DWTS' rehearsal
NEW YORK - Derek Hough is recovering from injuries that have him sitting out of performances at Radio City Music Hall and could sideline him on "Dancing With the Stars."
The Emmy Award-winning choreographer was injured Monday while rehearsing for next week's 10th Anniversary "Dancing" special.
He was diagnosed with a broken toe on his right foot and sprains and bone bruising to his left ankle.
His publicist confirms 29-year-old Hough will remain in L.A. this week to recover from his injuries while an understudy fills in on the Radio City "New York Spring Spectacular" in which Hough has a starring role.
Gymnast Nastia Liukin, Hough's current "Dancing With the Stars" partner, is training with a different pro-dancer in the meantime.
It's unclear whether Hough will be able to perform on Monday's show.
