Glenbard North remains perfect in DVC
Glenbard North 4, Wheaton North 3:
The Panthers (12-4, 6-0) stayed unbeaten in the DuPage Valley Conference by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Zach Heck went 3-for-3. Zach Stokas pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win in support of starter Sam Ledbetter. Zach Colangelo, who pitched 8 innings for Wheaton North (4-12, 0-6) had 2 hits and an RBI.
WW South 5, Lake Park 1:
The Tigers (7-9) improved to 6-0 in the DuPage Valley Conference after scoring twice in the third inning and three times in the fifth. Jake Kyllonen was the complete-game winning pitcher. Justin Kelly went 2-for-2 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.
Lisle 5, Westmont 3:
The Lions (8-8, 4-2) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second and stayed ahead by adding runs in the fourth and fifth inning of their Interstate Eight Conference victory. Complete-game winning pitcher George Swedie struck out 12 and went 2-for-3. Alec Van Volkenburg also had 2 hits. Joe Donovan homered for Westmont (13-5, 3-3).
Montini 10, Aurora Christian 9:
The Broncos (11-8) stormed to victory with 5 runs in the bottom of the seventh. Jordan Lazowski's two-out 2-run double drove in the tying and game-winning runs. Alex Luka, Jake Pestel, Jack Gerberich, Reed Taylor, Anthony Vosicky and Lazowski all had 2 hits. Chris Syregelas pitched 4 innings of scoreless relief to win on the mound.
Waubonsie Valley 7, Glenbard East 0:
Jason Neville's 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts paced the Warriors (12-3, 7-1) to the Upstate Eight Valley win. Garret Howicz went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Ryan Strick also drove in 2 runs.
York 4, Addison Trail 3:
Kyle Coughlin's run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Dukes (4-12) the West Suburban Conference crossover victory. Coughlin went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI while winning pitcher Cam Fowler had 2 hits.
Marian Catholic 4, Benet 3:
The Redwings (10-5, 3-1) surrendered 2 runs in the bottom of the seventh to drop a tough one in the East Suburban Catholic Conference. Alex Tassos went 2-for-4. Josh Tumpane and Danny Sobolewski drove in runs.
