Naperville doctor apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection

A Naperville doctor who has been charged with sexually assaulting and abusing patients was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers conducting passenger operations at O'Hare International Airport over the weekend.

CBP officials were made aware Saturday of a passenger returning to the United States after being denied entry to China, according to a news release. They identified the passenger as Dr. Haohua Yang, who was charged by Kendall County prosecutors late last year with sexually assaulting and abusing three patients at his Yorkville office.

CBP authorities obtained an arrest warrant and turned Yang over to the Yorkville Police Department, according to a news release.

Yang is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
