Hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan kicked off the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
“How about it Texasssssss! Dallas!” Bryan said standing next to Shelton. “They say everything is bigger Texas and that's why we came here.”
Shelton announced that the 2015 ACM Awards — usually held in Las Vegas — set a Guinness World Record for most attended live awards show of all-time.
The awards show, held in Las Vegas for over a decade, has transformed the Dallas Cowboys' 6-year-old stadium to mark its anniversary. The show featured 23 performances across two stages, and presenters included Tony Romo, Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara and Steven Tyler, who is recording a country album.
The comedic duo of Shelton and Bryan marked their third year of hosting.
