Bryant 'excited' for his debut at Wrigley

Before he took his first official at-bat with the Chicago Cubs, 23-year-old phenom Kris Bryant spoke with the media about making his Wrigley Field debut on Friday.

With Mike Olt going on the disabled list, the Cubs said Bryant will play third and bat cleanup in the lineup.

Bryant had this to say via Twitter before his arrival: "Today I got to tell my family that my dream is coming true. Can't really put into words what that feels like. So excited for this journey!"

Bryant will wear No. 17as the Cubs begin a three-game series against the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field.
