Cary-Grove (8-5-2, 4-0) collected 15 hitsTyler Pennington homered and drove in 2 runs and Wyatt Mascarella homered and drove in 3 runs. Winning pitcher Nick Franz held the Thunder to 2 earned runs on 6 hits, issued a walk and struck out 4 in 5 innings.
Crystal Lake South 10, Woodstock 0 (5 inn.): Garrett Bright finished 3-for-4 with a double, triple and 4 RBI to lead a 12-hit attack, and Ryan Wilkening held the Blue Streaks to 2 hits in 5 innings of this Fox Valley Conference crossover win for CL South (9-2, 2-1)
Grayslake Central 4, Huntley 2: The Rams scored twice in the top of the fifth to take the lead and added an insurance run in the seventh to seal a Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Cameron Reed took the loss for Huntley (3-8, 1-2). Trevor Ranallo and Brandon Meyer each accounted for 2 of the Red Raiders' 7 hits.
