Emergency crews searched homes and other structures in tiny Fairdale to make sure nobody was trapped in rubble left by Thursday's deadly tornado.

Authorities say Jacklyn K. Klosa, 69, was found dead in the rubble of her home. Also killed was 67-year-old Geraldine M. Schultz. Eight people were injured after the tornado swept through Fairdale, an unincorporated town of about 150 about 80 miles northwest of Chicago.
