Arlington Heights man sentenced to probation for 2014 crash

An Arlington Heights man was sentenced to 24 months of probation for criminal damage to property resulting from an October 2014 car crash, court records show.

David Dillingham, 33, was also ordered to pay $699 in fines, according to court records.

Prosecutors say Dillingham had three previous misdemeanor DUI convictions when he was involved in a collision Oct. 2 at the intersection of Rand Road and Thomas Street. After the accident, the driver of the other car followed Dillingham home and called police and gave them Dillingham's vehicle information, prosecutors said.

Initially charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident, Dillingham was convicted only of the criminal damage charge, court records show.
