Glen Ellyn man dies months after he fell in Rome

A 20-year-old Glen Ellyn man who was seriously injured in a fall in January while on a study abroad program in Rome died Sunday morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, officials said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office said Andrew Mogni died at 11:25 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

A Benet Academy graduate, Mogni was a student at the University of Iowa when he traveled to Italy early this year for a semester abroad program at John Cabot University in Trastevere, a neighborhood of Rome. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity at Iowa.
