St. Charles mayor to join in Mayors National Day of Service

Mayor Ray Rogina is participating in the third annual Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service on Tuesday, April 7, by volunteering at the Northern Illinois Food Bank West Suburban Center in Geneva.

The day highlights the positive impact of service programs on communities.

"St. Charles has always enjoyed a strong sense of community and high level of civic involvement," said Mayor Ray Rogina. "I am happy to take part in this effort to help the Northern Illinois Food Bank feed the hungry in Kane and 13 other surrounding communities."

Last year 1,760 mayors across the country participated. The effort is led by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the National League of Cities, and Cities of Service.
