Where is all the tax money going?

OK, residents of Antioch, listen up. I moved here years ago. Small, charming town, nice people and affordable. In the past years, this town has expanded greatly.

Many, many new stores, as well as subdivisions with expensive homes paying very high taxes. Look at what Wal-Mart alone is contributing.

Everyone's taxes have increased, so much so some people would like to leave, if they could sell (not a joke, not funny, truth.)

So my question is this: We can't afford to pay our well-deserved firefighters or an ambulance system? Are you kidding me?

Don't pass the buck on the school system. With or without children, we pay dearly.

So someone please tell me where all this money is going. Think twice before you vote on April 7 - and all our taxes are increased if you agree with the Daily Herald's opinion. I don't; it's a joke.
