Another key win for Barrington

Boys water polo

Barrington took control of the boys water polo lead in the Mid-Suburban West race by claiming an 8-4 victory over Conant on Monday.

Both teams had been unbeaten in divisional play entering the game.

Senior Chase Lesniak led the way for Barrington with 5 goals and 2 assists, while Connor Schmitz and Mihir Patel had 2 apiece for Conant (3-1 overall, 2-1 MSL West).

The Broncos remain unbeaten this season at 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the MSL West.

Fremd 12, Palatine 3: Zach Starkey and Robert DePau had 3 goals apiece to help the visiting Vikings (5-2) picked up an MSL West victory, putting them in a tie for second place in the division with Conant at 2-1.

Nick Jordan and Dan Anderson had 2 goals apiece for Fremd, while Ryan Schlaiss, T.J. May and Adam Smith accounted for the scoring for the Pirates (2-7, 1-2).

Hersey 4, Rolling Meadows 3: Jake Hall had 3 goals as visiting Hersey picked up an MSL East victory.

Michael Dellorto scored twice for the Mustangs.
