Candidate is right for Naperville

While there are many fine candidates vying for the Naperville City Council election on April 7, one of them stands out for all the right reasons: Steve Purduski.

Steve and his family have called Naperville their home since 1978, during which time they have seen an enormous transformation of Naperville from a sleepy farming community to a bustling urban center.

In 2010, Steve successfully organized a grass-roots campaign and addressed the City Council with several concerns: the commercialization of their neighborhood through more aggressive zoning proposals and public safety of the walkways along Washington Avenue. Through those efforts, fencing has been installed along Washington Avenue keeping school and commuter pedestrians safe.

Steve is a leader in youth services, serving currently as an assistant scoutmaster for his son's Boy Scout troop and as a unit commissioner, helping four other units to be successful.

Steve is active within his church community, currently serving as a catechist for St. Thomas the Apostle middle school religious education.

Steve has an extensive business background spanning over 25 years with AT&T Bell Laboratories and R.R. Donnelley & Sons, and as a Naperville entrepreneur, founding two small businesses in our community.

As a manager and executive, he has proved that he understands finance, program management and executive decision making.

Please consider voting for Steve Purduski for the Naperville City Council. He is the candidate with the winning combination for Naperville: business, project management and technological acumen combined with a genuine concern for what is best for Naperville.
