Support write-ins in Campton Hills
Campton Hills residents, please get out and vote April 7! Living where I do on the outskirts of Campton Township and minutes from the village of Campton Hills epicenter in Wasco, I have made it my business to learn all I can about the village, its incorporation as well as the opposition to maintaining the quality of life I expect from living here.
Current village leadership has been unscrupulously forced to run as "write-in" candidates. I listened to the stories, then checked out the opposition's website. This is a no-brainer. Write in Patsy Smith as president, Stephany Impson as clerk, Mike Turgeon and Don Sheluga for trustees and choose Steven Galloway as trustee.
This will require extra effort. A lot of spinning the wheel to properly spell their names, but without it, the very element I do not want running this village will take control.
The misinformation and negativity about Campton Hills only comes from one group. They have been there since incorporation. And with every election, the residents of the village have come to the polls, created the village, led the village and done what is in the best interest for us all.
We need every voter to realize the significance of their vote, and to understand.
This election is more difficult, which will make the results even sweeter. Please get out to vote
Then relax. If enough of us do this, everything is going to be just fine.
