Daughtry taking center stage at Naperville's Last Fling

The Grammy Award-winning Daughtry will be the headline performer Sept. 5 during the Naperville Jaycees' Last Fling celebration in downtown Naperville.

Chris Daughtry first came to widespread attention as a finalist on the fifth season of “America Idol,” when he finished fourth. Since then he has had four No. 1 hits, been nominated for four Grammys, won four American Music Awards and sold more than 8 million albums.

His self-titled debut album was the fastest selling rock debut in SoundScan history. His second album, “Leave This Town,” also went No. 1 and his third, “Break The Spell,” was certified gold in just four weeks.

His newest album is called “Baptized.”

The concert will start at 4 p.m. at the foot of Rotary Hill, 440 Aurora Ave., along the downtown Riverwalk. General admission tickets are $25 through July 10. Ticket prices rise to $30 between July 11 and Sept. 4 and are $35 on the day of the concert. Details are available at www.lastfling.org.

This year's Last Fling runs Sept. 4 through 7.
