Loop the Lakes 5K run

The 15th Annual Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in Vernon Hills. The race begins at the Century Park boat dock shelter north of Route 60 on Lakeview Parkway. The event fee includes a race shirt (if registered by April 3), post-race refreshments and awards for the top three race finishers in each age category. Awards will also be given to the overall male and overall female first place race finishers. Check-in is at the boat dock shelter from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. where race packets will be distributed. When using the Spring/Summer Registration Form to enroll, include your T-shirt size. Registrations are also accepted at www.active.com. The fee is $25. Proceeds support the Vernon Hills Park District Family Scholarship Program.
