15-year-old boy killed by train in eastern Illinois
TILTON, Ill. (AP) - A 15-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a train in eastern Illinois.
The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1xeOwgf ) that the Vermilion County Coroner's Office has identified the boy as Shawn Morris of Tilton.
Tilton Police Chief Steve Cornett says three boys were on the north side of the Norfolk and Southern railway tracks when one of them tried to cross on Tuesday afternoon.
The police chief says Morris' foot got caught on the rail and when he got back up he was hit by the train.
