Antioch to host town hall meeting on ambulance service

The village of Antioch, along with the First Fire Protection District, will host a town-hall meeting Thursday, March 19, to discuss the referendum question about funding for ambulance service in the community on the April 7 ballot. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Fire Station 1, 835 Holbek Drive. On April 7, residents in the village of Antioch and those in the unincorporated areas, will be asked to vote on a referendum to create a .25 percent tax rate to provide ambulance services in their community. Officials will have an open discussion regarding the services, address specifics of the ballot issue, and answer questions from the audience.
