Van hits, injures bicyclist in Naperville

A bicyclist was seriously injured Monday night after being a hit by a Chevrolet Express van in Naperville, police said.

The crashed happened in the intersection of 75th Street and Modaff Road at about 4:45 p.m., Naperville police said in a news release.

Police say the bicyclist was headed north crossing 75th Street at Modaff Road and the van was headed west on 75th Street when the collision occurred. The bicyclist was taken to Edward Hospital. The intersection remained closed until about 8:30 p.m.
