NDSU to hold party for NCAA men's basketball selection show

FARGO, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota State is holding a party for fans to watch the NCAA men's basketball tournament selection show.

The Bison are playing in the premier college sporting event for the second year in a row. They defeated South Dakota State earlier this week to win the Summit League tournament.

NDSU upset Oklahoma in the first round of last year's NCAA tourney.

The eight host cities for this year's opening round are Jacksonville, Florida; Louisville, Kentucky; Pittsburgh; Portland, Oregon; Charlotte, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Omaha, Nebraska; and Seattle.

The party is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fargodome. Players will sign autographs for the first hour and door prizes will be given throughout the event.

The matchups in the 68-team field will be announced on CBS starting at 5 p.m.
