Bills bulk up run game by signing free-agent fullback Felton

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - LeSean McCoy has a new lead blocker in Buffalo after the Bills signed free-agent fullback Jerome Felton.

The Bills announced the signing Wednesday, a day after Felton arrived in Buffalo to meet with team officials. He's a seven-year NFL veteran, who spent the past three seasons in Minnesota. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012, when he helped Vikings running back Adrian Peterson earn NFL MVP honors with 2,097 yards rushing.

Felton said it is a four-year deal. He is the latest addition to a run-oriented offense being introduced by new coach Rex Ryan. Felton joins a retooled backfield that will now feature McCoy, who was acquired in a trade with Philadelphia.

Felton was Detroit's fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft. He played three seasons in Detroit and split 2011 with Carolina and Indianapolis.
