Fairview Heights man gets 25 years for killing teen

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A southwestern Illinois man has been convicted of fatally shooting a 17-year-old in the head nearly two years ago.

Twenty-four-year-old Sybohnn Eubanks of Fairview Heights pleaded guilty to first-degree murder Friday in the death of Tramond Davidson. St. Clair County Chief Judge John Baricevic sentenced Eubanks to 25 years in prison.

Police say Eubanks fired shots into a moving vehicle carrying Davidson and his brother on May 1, 2013, in Washington Park.
