A Naperville police officer testified Monday that murder suspect Daniel Olaska threatened police officers after his arrest outside Frankies Blue Room. Prosecutors wrapped up their weeklong case yesterday. Olaska's attorneys will argue he acted in self-defense. Full story.

Body found in Crystal Lake park
Police found a body Monday afternoon in Canterbury Park in Crystal Lake in an apparent case of suicide. Officers responded to the park, on the 800 block of Canterbury Drive near Canterbury Elementary, about 4:15 p.m. and found a person on the ground with a gun nearby. Full story.
Elgin gets first chicks as part of pilot program
Elgin's first chicks have arrived as part of the pilot program allowing 15 approved residents to have up to four hens. Pete and Katie Mangan drove to a hatchery in Waterloo, Wisconsin, yesterday morning to get the 4-day-old chicks. Full story.
Woman's body recovered from river
A Chicago woman was found dead Monday in the Des Plaines River, a day after her vehicle crashed into the water, police said. The crash happened at 4:40 p.m. Sunday on Thatcher Avenue just south of North Avenue in River Forest. Full story.

Traffic
Resurfacing work will cause restrictions on Rand Road from Lake-Cook to Ela roads between Lake Zurich and Kildeer. The construction will continue until June 15th. Full traffic.
Frustrating night for Gasol, Bulls
Twice in the third quarter Monday night, Bulls center Pau Gasol drove to the basket, missed the shot, fell to the floor and didn't get a foul call.
