Endorsements: Johnson, Wagner, Russell for Volo village board

The residents of Volo should consider themselves very lucky. They have four highly qualified candidates to fill three spots on the village board. Incumbents Kurt Johnson, Mike Wagner and Dustin Heuser, along with current Village President Burnell Russell - the only president in the town's history - are all seeking a seat on the board. All four men have helped put the village on a positive track and deserve to continue to play a prominent role in the village's future. The next big project the village will tackle is bringing Lake Michigan water to residents. All four candidates are committed to looking for new retail development to add to the tax base and help offset the cost of the project. Voters can't go wrong in this race. Wagner, Russell and Johnson are endorsed, but it's our hope that Heuser continue to have a role in shaping the village, too.
