Program investigates Lincoln assassination:

The Lake County Civil War Roundtable will host a presentation about Abraham Lincoln's assassination at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Richard Stilling will deliver the program, titled "A Simple Letter, An Empty Chair and a Man of Mystery." Stilling is retired from the FBI and has had a lifelong fascination with the Civil War. The lecture deals with Lincoln's assassination and the effects it had on the Union leadership, along with the impact it had on the government's case against the conspirators.
